I have to admit, I’ve driven past Imhoff Farm countless times. I always wanted to stop by, but never actual did it. But then one day, I finally visited. And oh, I’m so glad I did! Imhoff Farm, located in the picturesque Kommetjie area, is a charming gem that truly offers something for everyone. It’s the perfect spot for a day trip with friends, family, or a loved one. It quickly became one of my new favorite places to unwind.

The variety of activities here is amazing. Whether you’re in the mood to relax, explore, or eat something delicious, there’s no shortage of things to do. The farm boasts a beautiful vineyard and a sea view that is simply magnificent. It’s a peaceful retreat with an atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. As their website says, there’s truly “something for everyone,” and I couldn’t agree more.

Things to Do at Imhoff Farm

During my visit with my boyfriend, we spent our day hopping from one exciting spot to another. The farm has a little bit of everything:

• Restaurants and Cafes: We had lunch at the Blue Water Cafe, where we enjoyed a relaxed meal with a view. Then, we indulged our sweet tooth at the Free Range Coffee Shop & Deli. There we treated ourselves to a delicious cake. The farm has a wonderful variety of dining options, making it a great place to spend a leisurely day.
• Higgeldy Piggeldy Farmyard: I ended up spending some time at the Higgeldy Piggeldy Farmyard, which was a fun experience. The petting zoo section is perfect for animal lovers (kids will absolutely love it here too!).
• Horseback Riding: If you’re an equestrian or just want to try something new, Imhoff offers horse riding, including beach rides. I didn’t try it myself, but the idea of riding along the coast sounds like an unforgettable experience.
• Shops and Stores: There’s a wine shop for those looking to take a little piece of the farm home. I also found a wonderful store selling thrift clothes. There’s a nursery with beautiful plants and a bookstore. Noordhoek Village Farm is truly perfect for those who enjoy unique shopping experiences.

How Much Time Should You Spend at Imhoff Farm?

You can easily spend just a few hours here or make it a full day trip. It really depends on what you’re in the mood for. If you’re short on time simply grab an ice cream . If you have lots of time have a meal and enjoy some horse riding or a stroll through the shops. Prices vary depending on what you do, but there’s something for every budget.

Is Imhoff Farm Family-Friendly?

Absolutely! Imhoff Farm is a wonderful place for families. There’s a play park for the kids and a petting zoo where they can interact with the animals. Parents will enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and diverse offerings, making it a great spot for a family day out.
