I have always wanted to make my own rolls from scratch and I am a relatively good baker if I do say myself. I just never made rolls. Given that I’m now on lockdown I figured I should make them. Baking helps pass the time. I honestly thought these rolls would be disgusting as the recipe included mayonnaise. I hate the taste of mayo. Anyways, the rolls ended up great according to my mom. I enjoyed them to. Since they were a hit here’s the simple recipe.

Ingredients
1 cup of flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt
½ cup of milk
2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
Method
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. You can use a mixer but I prefer to use a wooden spoon and knead my dough on a clean floured surface. That way the rolls raise better and are less dense.
Better a muffin tin and add the dough.
Put your muffin tin in a preheated oven for roughly 15 minutes at 180 degrees.
I changed the original recipe and brushed my dinner rolls with melted butter after they were done. Then I put them back in the oven for a few seconds to get them golden brown.
This recipe makes 5 small rolls.

Notes:
If you want more double the ingredients
If your dough is too runny add a bit more flour. It needs to be squishy not runny or too floury.
If you don’t have a muffin tin you can just use any oven proof dish just remember to add melted butter to it. And space out your dough, roll it in balls spacing out the dough ensures that when the rolls start to raise they don’t stick together.
These rolls go well with melted butter, jam, cheese and anything else you normally put on your dinner rolls.
If you double all the ingredients and put it in a loaf tin it could be a simple bread recipe.
Thank you for reading. Hope you’re doing well and staying safe wherever you are.
Take care
